Frequently Asked Questions
Car Rental Insurance Coverage: CDW and SLP
All our rental plans include CDW/LDW (Collision Damage Waiver or Loss Damage Waiver), which limits your financial responsibility in case of damage or theft of the rental vehicle.
Some plans also include Supplemental Liability Protection (SLP), which provides additional third-party liability coverage during your rental.
If SLP is not included in your selected plan, it can be added at the time of rental for an additional cost.
We strongly recommend choosing a plan that includes both CDW and SLP for added peace of mind, legal protection, and to avoid out-of-pocket expenses during your trip.
Additional Car Rental Charges: Tolls and Fuel Policy
Please note that tolls and fuel are not included in our standard rental plans.
Most rental locations offer an E-Toll service for your convenience. Customers should inquire at the rental counter about the toll processing method and any additional charges incurred during the rental period.
All rental vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel or a sufficient charge level if electric. You are expected to return the vehicle with the same fuel or battery level, unless a prepaid fuel or charging option is selected at the time of booking.
Manual vs. Automatic Transmission in International Car Rentals
Many countries in Europe and Latin America primarily offer manual transmission vehicles in their rental fleets. If you book a manual car, it will typically be confirmed as part of your reservation.
We recommend that you check the transmission type carefully during the booking process to ensure it meets your driving preferences and requirements. Automatic vehicles are available in most destinations, but availability may be limited and must be selected in advance.
International Driving Permit (IDP) for Car Rentals Abroad
The International Driving Permit (IDP) is an official translation of your home country’s driver’s license into multiple languages. It helps local authorities verify your driving credentials in foreign countries.
We recommend carrying an IDP when renting a car in any country where your license is not issued in the local language. Some destinations may require it by law, while in others, it helps avoid misunderstandings or delays during vehicle pickup or roadside checks.
Additional Driver Policy for Car Rentals
All drivers must be authorized and listed on the rental agreement at the time of pickup. Each driver must meet the standard rental requirements, including minimum age, a valid driver's license, and in some locations, a major credit card.
Most rental locations charge a daily fee for each additional driver. However, some of our rental plans include one additional driver at no extra cost. Please check the details of your selected plan during the booking process.
